Limited Warranty

Professional Automotive Technicians, Inc. ("P.A.T.") warrants to its original retail customers the following parts and services, and promises to provide replacement parts and labor at P.A.T. for warranty work to be performed:

P.A.T. warrants that all normal maintenance and repair will be free from defects in workmanship and replacement parts for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first. For this warranty to be operative, the owner must have all necessary work recommended at the time of the initial repair done then or at the time recommended. This warranty includes normal maintenance, tune-ups, brake work, shock absorbers, and vehicle repairs.

This warranty is for replacement parts and labor to be performed at P.A.T. and is not a promise to pay a stated sum or the cost of having work or repairs done elsewhere. The obligation of P.A.T. is limited to repairing or replacing, at its option, any part or task proven to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use. If repair or replacement is not commercially practical or cannot be timely made, P.A.T. retains the right at its option to refund the original cost of the work done as an alternative to supplying replacement parts and labor.

1) Parts or equipment operable at the time P.A.T. work is
performed which later fail or become defective due to
normal deterioration, use and exposure.

2) Parts that prove defective or fail due to lack of required
maintenance or upkeep.

3) Work done by owner, another service or repair facility or any
person or entity other than P.A.T.

4) Any vehicle used in racing or competitive events.

5) Any vehicle of which the odometer has been altered,
tampered with, or for which the actual mileage can not
be determined.

6) Use of nonequivalent parts in any later repair or maintenance.

7) Repairs performed with parts other than provided by P.A.T.

8) Repairs performed with used or "junk yard" parts.

9) Damage or malfunction resulting from:

P.A.T. disclaims any responsibility for loss of time, use of the parts or inconvenience or loss of the vehicle on which work has been performed, or any consequential damage. Any implied warranty, including any warranty or merchant ability or fitness of use for any particular purpose, is limited in duration to the duration of this written warranty.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or extensions may not apply to you.

This warranty give you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

You must bring your vehicle to the P.A.T. repair facility at your own expense. Vehicles to be serviced under this warranty must be brought in for service before the expiration of the time or mileage limitations, unless advance notice is given and arrangements in writing are completed to extend the period in which the vehicle must be produced.

If you remain in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area, all warranty work must be performed at and by P.A.T. If the vehicle is not kept within commuting distance of Ann Arbor, Michigan, warranty work may be done at a registered and/or licensed facility, approved in writing in advance by P.A.T., by an automotive technician qualified and trained for the vehicle and specific work to be performed.
